Privacy policy

rEUsilience is committed to respecting the privacy of visitors to its website

Data processing and purpose

This website uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your device to help the site provide a better user experience. Almost all websites use cookies. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics.

When you visit the rEUsilience website, we store information related to your behaviour based on your IP address: the pages you visit, the time you spent on the pages and the location. Your IP address is anonymised and cannot be linked to your person. The data we collect is used to analyse the reach and impact of our project and to potentially improve this.

As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

In addition, rEUsilience may collect certain personal data such as name, address, organisation, and e-mail address through the subscription to the rEUsilience newsletter and registration to rEUsilience events.

Transfer of your personal data

Your information is treated with the utmost confidentiality and will only be passed on to third parties with your consent or if we are required by law to do so.

rEUsilience works with a third party provider, MailChimp, to share news about the rEUsilience project and events with subscribers to the newsletter. Your data such as name, organisation, and email address will be shared with MailChimp when you subscribe to the rEUsilience newsletter.

Links to other websites

This website may contain links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Your rights

If you want to update any of your contact details, you can let us know. You can access any of your personal data that are processed by rEUsilience, view the data and correct or delete any data. You have the right to be ‘forgotten’.

rEUsilience’s social media channels

rEUsilience uses social media accounts to communicate with external audiences. Currently we have a Twitter and LinkedIn account.

The social media platforms give rEUsilience access to visitor statistics from our social media pages so that we can analyse how our content (posts, videos, articles, etc.) is viewed and used. We can also set up ads based on user profiles that have visited our pages.

rEUsilience does not disclose or sell data we access through social media.
